DZOGCHEN

Dzogchen or "great perfection" (Atiyoga in Sanskrit) is a set of teachings and practices of spiritual awakening emanating from the Bön and Nyingmapa traditions, related to the "direct path" (which includes Chan in China and Zen in Japan). Like the Mahamudra tradition, to which it is closely related, it leads to the realization of the fundamental nature of mind.
